Today juridical analytic scientists of Interregional Legal Advocacy Association “AGORA” summarized results of the year 2006 on the problems of pursuit of civil activists in Russia. In the previous year Association registered 118 messages of such facts in 35 regions of the country. In 2006 1 civil activist was killed, 2 - were missing, presumably, kidnapped, 18 - beaten, 15 - were subjected to criminal prosecution, 270 – were arrested for organization and participation in public actions.

According to the program of privatization in current year 115 enterprises of a Military-Industrial Complex more than half from which belong to the Ministry of Defence will be put up for auction. In particular, military department sells 86 central design offices, 57-th design institute, 21st central design-technological bureau (everything are – in Moscow), the scientific and technical centre "Vitayz" (Bryansk), four factories on repair of military-technical property and so forth. Belarus is going to make the Russians entering the republic on personal cars obligatory registration of the certificate for temporary import of a vehicle. It became known on Monday from the head of the department of the organization of the customs control of the State customs committee of Belarus Sergey Borisjuk who acted on the Belarus state TV, ITAR-TASS informs. According to the official, this step – is a reciprocal measure to answer similar actions from the Russian part. Introduction by Russia for Byelorussians of obligatory registration of temporary import of motor transport created great automobile lines on border between two countries. Besides, this procedure is unprofitable enough: automobile owners should pay 9 dollars.

The Russians should understand that the money which in the Kremlin and "Gazprom" intend to receive from the Belarusian consumers will not go to ordinary citizens of Russia. They will be partially directed into so-called Stabilization Fund situated in the USA and working on the American but not on the Russian economy and partially they will be stolen by ineffective and thievish Kremlin and Gazprom’s top. On the other hand, citizens of Russia should not be surprised to those reciprocal measures which, in case of continuation of irresponsible behaviour of the Kremlin, Byelorussia can undertake

On the night from Wednesday to Thursday from sudden cardiac standstill President of Turkmenii Saparmurat Niyazov died. It was informed by the State TV of Turkmenii in an extra news sport in which information appeared earlier was officially confirmed. The president was 66 years. Saparmurat Niyazov had headed Turkmenii in 1985 as the first secretary of Republican Communist Party. In 1990 he was elected the president of Turkmenii. In December, 1999 National Council of Turkmenistan made a decision on Saparmurata Niyazov's lifelong presidency. In 2002 National Council one more time made a decision on necessity to make Niyazov's presidential term lifelong, however, Turkmenbashi officially declared that elections of the leader of the country would nevertheless take place after 2008.

The first assistant of the Manager General of corporation "MiG" Sergey Tsivilev was charged in swindle in especially large size. This information is confirmed by the press-service of Office of Public Prosecutor of Moscow. Tsivilev is incriminated an attempt of sale to Polandcounterfeit spare parts to the fighters MiG-29. Sergey Tsivilev signed the contract with the General Manager of “Aviaremsnab”, Ltd Musail Ismailov according to which "Aviaremsnab" should deliver for corporation MiG flight director computers, blocks of gauges of linear accelerations and angular speeds and also some other blocks – all in all for the sum of 18 mln roubles ($637 thousand) – for further delivery to the Polish company.
