Georgia Began Military Operation in South Ossetia

On the night of August, 8 Georgian party declared the beginning of operation on establishment of a constitutional mode in South Ossetia. From 11:30 p.m. on Thursday Tskhinvali has been exposing to massed shelling. According to authorities of unrecognized republic, about 03:30 a.m. on Friday Georgian armor and infantry started attack of the southern suburb of Tskhinvali. However, as they assert, south Ossetian forces meanwhile manage to constrain attacking. Georgian planes Su-25 attacked the territories of South Ossetia, the commander of Peace Support Forces (PSF) in a zone of conflict Мarat Kulakhmetov informed on Friday morning.

Oil Went Down or Dollar - Up?

On Monday the price for oil at world stock exchanges sharply went down, for the first time for three months having lowered during the tenders lower than a level in 120 dollars for barrel, agency France Presse transfers. At the moment of closing of tenders the cost of barrel of oil WTI on NYMEX with delivery in September decreased in comparison with Friday for 3,69 dollars and made 121,4 dollars. Brent oil in London fell in price for 3,5 dollars - September futures were signed at the price of 120,68 dollars for barrel. Last record of the price for oil was established on July, 11^th, when the cost of barrel reached 147,27 dollars. >>

According to the Chinese correspondent of OFRUM.msk Pavel Basanets in the Chinese province Sichuan, near to epicenter of the previous earthquake in May this year another shocks with amplitude 6.1 points. It became known in the morning on August, 6th that one person died and 23 got wounds. The center of earthquakes of China on Tuesday informed that shocks were felt in two other provinces - Gansu and Shansi. In a number of cities communication and transport connection is broken. In particular, as a result of last shocks there was destroyed a bridge on a motorway 212.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn Died

The Nobel winner, writer Alexander Isaevich Solzhenitsyn died in Moscow on the 90-th year of life. Solzhenitsyn received wide popularity besides literary works (as a rule touching sharp political themes) also by historic - publicistic works about history of Russia of XIX-XX centuries.
Regardless attitude both to a person of the writer and his works the person, once being former a sign figure for the whole epoch died. Having debuted on a wave of "Years of Thaw" in "The New World" headed by Tvardovsky with the story "One Day of Ivan Denisovich" Solzhenitsyn, as they say, "woke up well-known". Then other works of the writer which led to his exile from the USSR followed.
Epopee "Archipelago GULAG" which manuscript served as the reason for his expatriation was the most significant work of the writer. Solzhenitsyn settled in Vermont for long and continued to write.
Returning of the well-known writer to Russia was recognized to be a sign, as well as his exile. Solzhenitsyn came back to the country by train having passed from the Far East up to Moscow. He was met at the Yaroslavl station as the guru, as "starets" who at last would teach Russia to live not on lie and thus to prosper. It happened, let's recollect, already after the shootings of Council House about which the writer told nothing. For in the epoch of privatization, epoch of "valiant 90s" the lie triumphed. Here again, in Russia treated kindly by authorities, allocated Moscow apartment and country-seat in Troitsa-Lykovo he, apparently, appeared at a loose end. >>

Chapter of Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights also accused manufacturers of tobacco that they intentionally did not let prices in a cheap segment of cigarettes which density made about 40 percent of the tobacco market rise.

It is possible to sneer at controllability of the Russian share market, certainly. When Putin on Friday said that "Mechel" sold products at home market 2 times more expensively, than at external one, shares of the company fell by one third. While when on Monday he informed that internal prices of "Mechel" were already 4 times higher, than external ones - capitalization of the company fell already on 50%. If tomorrow Putin will say that the company sells products at home market 10 times more expensively, capitalization of "Mechel", probably, will turn into negative size. The essence of a problem (and the conflict inside authority) that struggle against corruption became inevitability. Everybody understands it. There appeared a conflict between new president Medvedev and old prime-minister Putin, conflict of interests expressed by very simple formula: who should be appointed corrupted official? >>

Now in Russia incorporated Left (or, anyway, their prototype) exist within the framework of the National assembly as fraction. Whether such existence will be continued further or the Left, having formed organizationally, will leave the structure of this body - in this case it's not important. Much more important is another.
If incorporated Left are going to carry out politics tricks seriously (and now there are no reasons to doubt) they could have only one purpose - coming to power. Further socialist, the more communistic transformations are impossible without it. Here there are different variants - the Left front can take authority alone or in the structure of coalition represented by the same Assembly. >>
