Uncontrollable Nuclear Reaction Began on the Atomic Power Station "Fukushima-1"

Nuclear reaction is fixed in the second reactor of the Japanese emergency atomic power station "Fukushima-1", Associated Press informs. Representatives of TERCO, the atomic power station company-operator, on Wednesday, November, 2nd declared that radioactive gas xenon which appearance is a sign of reaction of nuclear fission is found out in the tests of air taken in the reactor.

Injection of boric acid reducing intensity of nuclear reaction has been started, representatives of TERCO informed. Thus they underlined that rises in temperature, pressure as well as well as rise in radiation level in the reactor wasn't found. "The reactor is stable", - Press Secretary of TERCO declared, having added that the event, according to the atomic power station company-operator, wouldn't influence the working schedule on liquidation of consequences of accident on "Fukushima-1".

Works to stop emergency power units are conducted at the moment on "Fukushima-1". In the end of October TERCO declared that it managed to reach "cold stop" of reactors stage - the temperature in power units fell below 100 degrees of Celsius and remains on the same mark during long enough time. Full clearing of reactors of the fuel rests, by calculations of experts, after "cold stop" will take not less than 30 years.

- Statement of the company-operator contained so many lies for last months that it's hardly possible to rely on their statements now, - editor-in-chief of FORUM.msk Anatoly Baranov considers. - Only one thing is really known - there is uncontrollable nuclear reaction going on in the second reactor and nobody even approximately know what occurs. I will remind that a fusion of the nuclear fuel happened in the second reactor just as well as in the first and the third soon after the accident due to the switching off cooling. It's now at the bottom of the reactor, its part has burned the case and has got to the limits of external protective cover. At any moment reaction of the nuclear fission can start in separate components of this weight, it's capable to lead to new fusion of fuel. Apparently, this moment is at hand. The fact that indicators of pressure and temperature in the reactor aren't raised could mean that the reactor has been staying untight for already long time and uncontrollable processes go not inside but outside - in the soil column.

In the meantime on Wednesday company-operator "Genkai" Kushu Electric Power on the southern Japanese island Kyushu declared start of the fourth reactor which was stopped in the beginning of October because of mistake of the employee, agency Kyodo reported. The agency on atomic energy of Japan permitted start of the fourth reactor of the atomic power station "Genkai" located in prefecture of Saga on the southmost of the basic islands of Japan - Kyushu, having counted arguments of the company-operator and the results of investigation made by it convincing for renewal of its work.

Renewal of work of the fourth reactor of atomic power station "Genkai" became the first case of start of the reactor on the Japanese atomic power stations after the accident on the atomic power station "Fukushima-1".

In the beginning of October the fourth reactor of the atomic power station "Genkai" was urgently stopped because of the failure in water handling system during preventive maintenance. Preventive maintenance in the water handling system necessary for increase of overall performance of the turbine is carried out in vacuum conditions. However due to that employee of the company by mistake opened the valve, pressure in the system began to rise, therefore alarm system actuated, turbine rotation was stopped, the reactor also automatically stopped.

- That is all statements of the Japanese government about termination of operation of the atomic power station appeared to be pure poppycock to calm public opinion down, - Anatoly Baranov believes. - Not received profit appeared to be much more telling argument, than all other arguments taken together. That is the Japanese companies-operators after the accident on "Fukushima" didn't become more responsible and the government less sympathetic to the requests of large business. For half a year after the accident high concentration of radiation is found in many sorts of vegetables, mushrooms, meat and milk not only in the prefecture of Fukushima but also in the areas far from it. Thus the authorities, most likely, underestimate danger level. While business wishes to exploit the atomic power station and to get profit. The whole world, including the countries surrounding Japan, reacts to it quite complacently - as if it were sovereign business of Japan - to poison Pacific Ocean or not... After all as it became known now, preservation of laws don't operate round Japanese islands - radioactive materials in large quantity are being washed off into the sea and dissolved there completely.
