Having Understood That There Is Vendetta Raging in Ingushetia íÅdvedev Forced Zjazikov to Resign with Preferment
31.10.2008

The president of Russia Dmitry Medvedev signed the decree "About Early Termination of Powers of the President of the Republic of Ingushetia", ITAR-TASS informs referring to the press-service of the head of the state.

Murat Zjazikov, after being the head of Ingushetia for six and a half years, declared that his resignation from a post of the president of the republic was absolutely voluntary and connected to transition to other work, "Interfax" transfers. "I shall work in Moscow", - Zjazikov said. Actually, it would be difficult to guarantee him living somewhere else, though after M.Evloev's murder of which Zjazikov is being accused openly the capital is also not quite safe place for the ex-president of Ingushetia. The post of ambassador in Zimbabwe would be more reliable...

The Hero of Russia Junus-Bek Evkurov is appointed to hold an interim appointment of the president of the Republic of Ingushetia for the period up to introduction into a post of a person vested with corresponding authorities.

"On the base of the subitem "b" item 1 of article 19 of the law from October, 6, 1999 number 184-FL "About General Principles of Organization of Legislative (Representative) and Executive Branches of the Government of Subjects of the Russian Federation" I hereby resolve:

1. To accept resignation of the president of the Republic of Ingushetia Zjazikov íurad Magomedovich.

2. To appoint evkurov Junus-Bek Bamatgireevich holding an interim appointment of the president of the Republic of Ingushetia for the period up to introduction into the post of a person vested with authorities of the president of the Republic of Ingushetia.

3. The present decree inures from the date of its signing", - is spoken in the document.

They noted in the press relations service that åvkurov earlier was the deputy chief of a staff of Volga-Ural military district.

"Junus-Bek åvkurov is known as fair and courageous person who is not alien to the interests of people. We congratulate all inhabitants of Ingushetia on this significant day in history of our people", - comments of such a type appeared on oppositional site of Ingushetia.Org which has been calling for resignation of Zjazikov for long time.

It would be desirable to note that assignment of the authoritative military man Evkurov the president goes as though in peak to applications of another ex-president of Ingushetia Ruslan Aushev about his readiness to head again the republic. The Kremlin did not follow the tastes of "the group of pressure" formed around Aushev and disgraced oligarch Gutseriev.
