The station Berezniky in the Perm territory is closed because of sudden cave in formed on November, 25th, 2010 under railroad bed. To Sunday morning cable highways of the alarm system, centralization and communication, 4 supports of contact network, 3 switch layouts and the first track of cargo park were put out of action because of the catastrophe.
It was informed earlier that there was cave in of the ground under the railroad bed of the station Berezniky (Perm territory) in the morning on November, 25th, 2010. Incident happened after passing of a freight train with potash fertilizers. Subsidence in a zone of carnallite working-outs became the reason of cave in, they consider in the Russian Railway. Cave in of earthwork with depth of 20 m, width 15 m and extent of 50 m was found out at structure survey. There are no victims and threat of ecological safety.
Unfortunately, draw in Berezniky - is not an accident but planned event which has been expected already 3 years ago.
Here you are what governmental "The Russian Newspaper" wrote about it in the summer of 2007: "Clockwork of the tragedy started on October, 17th last year after catastrophe on the mine located nearby inevitably approaches H-hour. Threat of technogenic catastrophe forced the government to create special commission which was headed by the minister of natural resources Yury Trutnev. Despite of the months which passed after the accident resettlement of people in a safe place hasn't been even begun".
"Cave in of the ground over karstic cavity took place on July, 28th, 2007 in industrial zone of mine group BKPRU-1 "Uralkalium" (Berezniky). According to the Ministry of Emergency Measures on the Perm territory, the accident has been expected one. Situation has been developing in full conformity with the forecast of scientists. Technogenic cave in over karstic cavity is a result of leaching of a roof of salt rock mass with flesh brines. The funnel formed had sizes approximately 40 x 60 m, depth - about 15 m", FORUM.msk informed.
Working outs of potash fertilizers which have been carried out within 5-6 decades in the north of the Perm territory led to huge emptiness. Therefore the town of Berezniky where enterprise Uralkalium is situated (the largest in the country manufacturer of mineral fertilizers. It produces about 10% of world volume) is on the verge of catastrophe - can simply disappear under the earth.
There is one more problem. As the writer Alla Yaroshevskaya told in Andrey Karaulov's program "True Moment": "Nuclear waste from abroad will be delivered not necessarily to "Mayak" in Chelyabinsk. There are potash mines in Berezniky. Nuclear waste, probably, would be sent there. When you put neutral ground, there's no need to think: whether there are empty horizons there, whether there are waters there which can carry this ground away. If it's neutral. While it's necessary to think hardly, if you place radioactive waste instead of neutral ground. Because these horizontal waters can spread wastes so far away that it won't be funny", - Yaroshevskaya thinks.
As far as we know, despite of creation of governmental commission headed by minister Yury Trutnev (by the way former governor of the Perm territory) and generous assignments, the problem of cave in of potash mines near Berezniky is definitively not solved.
