Putin’s May Day Started from Bolotnaya Square…
Grechaninov Vladimir 03.05.2012

So, May Day joyfully and without conflict walked about the country. As "Komsomolskaya Pravda" enthusiastically reported, "demonstration was positive, the fact that there were almost no members of “United Russia” among people marching in columns ennobled the action". Well, surely! If, I will add, not to take into consideration the prime minister and the president in remarkable snow-white coats. However, the president should be in white, the others - as it will turn out. Smiles and balloons soared in the air, songs of the Soviet composers and nostalgic slogans - Glory to the pilots, tankmen and security officers – can be heard. The main thing, there was atmosphere of consent and unification. Peace, work, May, let always will be the sun, Putin and Medvedev, hurrah, comrades!

Only looking at this expensive production grandeur for some reason I recollected not old demonstrations of workers as it was conceived, but recent actions on Bolotnaya about which I wrote then material "Not to Lean" and which I want to quote here. Because I have already no strength to write about all that majestic lies anew, consequently the treachery of democratic leaders made today's May Day facade.

So, December, 10th of last year.

"On my way to Saturday meeting I listened to the radio and, as great writers say, can’t stop getting surprised. At first one as though democratic radio station disapprovingly spoke about Limonov who talking forbidden speeches confuses people on Revolution Square, then I was promised that right now T.Kandelaki will act on the air directly from the meeting. Fortunately, it didn't happen, but nasty aftertaste remained. Then the correspondent reported with aspiration that he sees alive Parfyonov behind the tribune, after that microphone was given to some girl from among television humorists who started talking something even more unimaginable...

Here I, being afraid that desire to go somewhere would leave me, switched off the radio. I did correct thing. Because no speeches were hears on the Square and nearby, actually they were not necessary. People gathered looked at each other and were surprised – there now, so many human faces appeared in Moscow suddenly from nowhere?! All this even in conditions when capital chiefs used two decades to relieve the city of normal people, having replaced them with thievish officials, jowly bandits and other freaks! Miracle! Or simply incomplete work?

Different thought appeared at once: if normal people gathered, it means they will be again deceived. As they were deceived twenty years ago when people with the same open faces were waving with three-colored flags, while real guys from a brigade "Lenin, Party, Komsomol" were smartly getting possession of plants, steamships, raw materials and the main thing - tanks with full ammunitions. Which they used later to hit those normal people when those started coming to their senses a little. Under hysterical cries of the same radio station: "Don't interfere with Yeltsin’s work!"

Obviously that thought took possession of my consciousness so deeply that at night I saw a bad dream. I saw a huge square which was even bigger than Bolotnaya Square and where harmonous columns of opposition were marching. At first a column of electronic and other press led by its best representatives - Pozner, Gusev, Solovyev, Shvydkoj and his team, owners of newspapers and TV channels and all the others went under the slogan "Give freedom of speech!" Then there appeared dense ranks of creative and other intellectuals - "Comedy club", director Govorukhin, doctor Roshal, pop-music players from TV. Nightmare!

Sobyanin walking with Luzhkov and Resin on his hand appeared followed by uncountable army of municipal officials of all levels and a heap of banners. This one was especially remarkable: "Thieves from housing and communal services – put to justice". "Against judicial lawlessness" right after it followed by all judicial case led by the chairman of the Moscow State Court Egorova. Eternally scared Zorkin tripped aside.

Dense columns of oppositionists went on and on, there was many thousands column of police with the poster: "No to cops' arbitrariness", then Churov with the banner "For honest elections!", here I understood that the action took place on Red Square, wind bands are playing, television cameras are flitting in the sky and the heads of the party and the government are standing on the Mausoleum decorated with white ribbons. Gryzlov is standing below with the slogan "No to the party of crooks and thieves", Fursenko with the slogan "For reform of Iducation", Medvedev with "Russia without Twitter" and HE in the flesh on the top with a huge colourful poster "Russia without Putin!"... I can’t bear it any longer and woke up shouting.

... To tell you the truth, I don't know plainly whom I would like to see on tribunes, in presidiums and in updated (if it would happen once!) institutes of power of all levels. But I know precisely who shouldn't be there under any circumstances. There should not be characters of nightmare from which our country has been failing to wake up for already so many years!"
